SAY YES TO THE DRESS
(or "HOW we got together")
You see it on the mannequin, catching your own reflection in the mirror behind it.
“Oh, no. I’m pretty sure that’s not for me.”
You walk around the store in a big loop, and there it is again. You close your eyes and picture it on you. In spite of yourself, you smile. But you keep moving.
Several loops later, you finally just turn to the salesperson, nervously (you know how judgy they can be). You must feel pretty that day, ‘cause what the heck: you dramatically point at the mannequin and blurt out, “Excuse me. Do you have this in a (insert your fantasy size here)?”
To your surprise, the salesperson knowingly says, “Oh, I sure do, Hunty.” The salesperson saunters to the rack.
The next thing you know, you are carrying a big garment bag down the escalator and grinning in a most irritating fashion.
That’s kinda how it happened, over the last eight years. We thought we could never dare. We tried it on. It actually totally fit. We bought it. It’s multi-seasonal. And the color! Now we’re celebrating the purchase. Please join us. You’ve made us feel like it looks good on us, too.
