If you were coming into town just for the wedding/out of towners’ brunch and then going right back home immediately after, you might consider staying in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) near Giando’s. If you were staying longer and want to take advantage of all the sight-seeing opportunities, you might opt to stay in Manhattan, where those activities will be closer. Williamsburg, Brooklyn is really not all that far from Manhattan, though, and is a happening area with great restaurants and retail - you just wouldn’t be able to hop from one big famous NYC sight to another, if that’s what you were looking for.
